Customer: Distillerie PEGASUS
Brand: Pegasus
Universe: Spirits
Category: Liqueur
Origin: France
Expertises: Gravure et décor
After several years spent in England, Maxime Girardin decided to return to his native region of Burgundy with the goal of setting up his distillery opposite the Domaine Pierre Girardin wine estate. His distillery, at the cutting edge of technology, leaves a lasting impression, just like his ultra-quality spirits.
After five years in England working in finance, Maxime decided to return to France, to Burgundy and more precisely to Meursault, to set up his distillery.
Every step was carefully thought out, every product development was synonymous with research coupled with the desire to do things right.
Why a distillery and not a winery, as his parents had established? He chose to have more room for recipe and brand creativity. Maxime is a creative person, who loves products that are as flavorful as they are beautiful. So he created the Pegasus distillery, inspired by his three passions: horses, starry skies and aviation.
Maxime leaves nothing to chance:
Dating back to Louis XIV and the end of the 17th century, Maxime relied on this original recipe that was reserved for the Court. It was made from the noblest products of the time - citrus fruits and sugar, among the most expensive.
For his super-premium vodka, the quality of the water used was of paramount importance. His distillery draws it from a borehole that was created beneath the distillery itself, drawing through the limestone rock.
To dress up this liqueur, it required a bottle to represent. It needed to be just as qualitative and differentiating as its regal recipe while expressing his three passions. The chosen bottle had to evoke the Hall of Mirrors and its play of light. To facilitate transport, distribution and packaging consciousness, the weight of the glass also had to be optimized.
For his super-premium vodka, Maxime wanted packaging that was just as impactful as the spirit it would hold, and be reminiscent of the brand's identity. The request was the shape selected needed to be instantly recognizable and be practical for bartenders. The decor had to sparkle, like a starry sky rising to an impeccable level of quality.
For the liqueur, the PIRATE range was chosen, with engravings like glass facets symbolizing diamond points, reflecting the light while highlighting the product's naturally golden color. “It's also a nod to the friendly, reassuring side of the times. It's an atypically shaped, generous bottle that can be picked up by the neck, and bartenders and mixologists appreciate its ease of use.”
The atypical shape of the PIRATE bottle is completely out of the ordinary and makes it distinctive.
In addition to its highly aesthetic design, the weight of this bottle was reduced to fall in line with the primary aim of developing products that are even more responsible in terms of carbon footprint and environmental impact.
PIRATE
For the vodka, the INSOLENCE SPIRIT shape was chosen: a tall, flat-shouldered bottle with an inverted taper that perfectly matches the PIRATE shape used for the liqueur.
The catalog's interlocking shapes enable the PEGASUS distillery to develop several products while retaining a coherent, clear brand identity for consumers.
Customization of the INSOLENCE SPIRIT bottle took the form of an intricate decoration reminiscent of the aurora borealis, dear to Maxime’s heart. The bottle (in 70 cl, 150 cl and 175 cl sizes) features a two-tone coating and a silk-screen print. Each process evokes the sky and its stars.
The even more exclusive vodka, infused with meteorite, is also decorated with a coating reminiscent of the northern lights and a silkscreen print.
For this exclusive vodka, the lacquering is glossier than in the classic version, and the decoration sparkles. It's all there for you to dream away as you enjoy these refined products.
